Estimate buster of the week

This 19th century French glass scent bottle, with a miniature watercolour painting depicting a French neo-classical building in the lid, is not only estimate buster of the week but also something of a TV star. The bottle, which sold for £110 despite its guide price of £20-30, is due to appear on BBC1’s Cash in the Attic after experts found it languishing in a contestant’s home and took it to the saleroom.
